• Both library locations have reopened

    Both Atlantic City Free Public Library locations – Main Library and Richmond Branch Library – have reopened to the public as of July 2020. Per Gov. Phil Murphy’s Executive Order, capacity at the libraries will be capped at 25 percent. Main Library is open 10 a.m.-noon and 2-4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, effective July 22. Richmond Branch is open 10 a.m.-noon and 2-4 p.m. on Tuesdays, as of July 28. Click here to read more.

    hoopla logo blueEven though the Atlantic City Free Public Library is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, its library members have access to more digital resources than ever before. The library is proud to announce it now offers hoopla, a digital streaming service of more than 700,000 titles. With a valid library card, members can stream and download eBooks, audiobooks, music, movies, television shows and comics in 70 different languages. Click here to read more.

Board of Trustees

The Atlantic City Free Public Library is an independent municipal library funded and operated by the City of Atlantic City and administered by a Board of Trustees. The members of the Board of Trustees are appointed for five-year terms, and are responsible for overseeing the effective operation of the Library. The Board of Trustees works with the Library staff to provide a broad range of educational, informational and recreational programs and services for the Atlantic City community.
